Prevail™ Veterinary Disinfectants Announces New Formula that is Stronger and 3 Times Faster

Powered by a new and superior Accelerated Hydrogen Peroxide® (AHP®) formula, the Prevail RTU and Wipes range now offers enhanced features and benefits that further advances the standard of disinfection in veterinary practices, animal shelters and pet boarding facilities in Canada.

The new Prevail formula retains the trusted safety profile and AHP-based attributes, while introducing a range of improvements that further set it apart from the competition. The most significant advancements include faster contact times, more efficacy claims, and a longer shelf life.

Prevail customers can now expect:

  • A 1-minute contact time for viruses, bacteria, mycobacteria and fungi with a formulation that is now three times faster than the previous 3-minute formula.
  • An expanded claims list, with over 25 new virucidal claims and 25 new bactericidal claims. The new formulation also introduces a mildewcidal claim, as well as soft surface sanitizing claims. This broad spectrum of efficacy ensures that Prevail Veterinary Disinfectants offer comprehensive protection against a wide range of pathogens.
  • Key new companion animal claims, targeting specific viruses and pathogens that are prevalent in veterinary practices, animal shelters and pet boarding environments. These claims include Kennel Cough (Bordetella spp.), Feline Panleukopenia Virus (FPV), Canine Distemper Virus (CDV), Canine Influenza A Virus (H3N2), Feline Herpes Virus (Feline Rhinotracheitis), Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), Feline Infectious Peritonitis Virus (FIPV), and Ringworm (Microsporum canis).
  • An extended 3-year shelf life, both opened and unopened, compared to the previous 2-year shelf life. This ensures that Prevail Veterinary Disinfectants remain effective and reliable for a longer duration, reducing the need for frequent restocking.
